On January 24, NOCFL invited experts and scholars in Beijing to a Spring Festival gathering, attended by Lu Jianming, Chairman of the World Chinese Language Teaching Association, Vice Chairman Prof. Zhao Jinming and council members of the association in Beijing, representatives of senior experts and workers engaged in promoting Chinese language in the world.

Xu Lin, Chief of NOCFL, spoke first at the meeting. She gave her holiday greetings to the scholars, expressed her thanks for their efforts and her admiration of their hard work during the last year. Lu Jianming, on behalf of the association and the scholars present at the meeting, gave thanks to NOCFL for the invitation. Under the direction of NOCFL, he said, and with the support from sides, the association will make the promotion of Chinese language better to adapt to the new situation in the world.

The experts and scholars aired opinions about the development of the association and its work in near future.
